Canada's Megan Oldham Wins Olympic Bronze in Freeski Slopestyle | Milano Cortina 2026 Highlights (2026)

Canada's Megan Oldham claimed a bronze medal in the women's freeski slopestyle event at the Milano-Cortina Olympic Games on Monday, marking her first Olympic medal. The 24-year-old freestyle skier from Parry Sound, Ontario, entered the final run in third place and secured her podium position with a score of 76.46. Oldham's performance was remarkable, especially after crashing on the final jump of her second run, which she recovered from to post the best score of the third round. She held off Great Britain's Kirsty Muir, who finished just half a point behind. Switzerland's Mathilde Gremaud, the Olympic champion, scored 86.96 in her second run, while China's Eileen Gu, who led after the first round, settled for silver. Naomi Urness of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, finished seventh in her Olympic debut. Oldham's medal is the second for Canada at Milano Cortina, following speed skater Valérie Maltais' bronze in the women's 3,000 meters on Saturday. The Canadian team continues to shine on the Olympic stage.
